A person in a leadership position will receive more judgement from people than if they weren’t in that position. This is because they are setting an example of what is acceptable and what they say and do has more influence than someone who is not in that position. Our City Commissioners have agreed lead us.
At the most recent Blueprint Meeting, three of our elected officials left before all the articles had been voted on. This left the blueprint board without a quorum.

Because of the inattendance of Mayor Dailey, Dianne Williams-Cox, and Curtis Richardson the last two articles could not go to a vote. Being in the positions they are, we look to them to set what is acceptable. I pose this question: If a City employee left their duties prior to completing them, would they be permanently relieved of their duties?

The actions of the Mayor and the two commissioners affect all of us. Their absence put in jeopardy additional (federal grant) funding for the North Monroe project. Rick Minor has been diligent in his duties in an attempt to secure this grant for us. We can’t help but feel like this was another attempt to undermine us, the people of Tallahassee.
Whatever feelings you have about their actions are valid. This isn’t how local government works or how it is effective.
